Tanaya leads the G7P Secretariat at GRID Impact. She brings two decades of experience in financial inclusion and education, with a focus on Africa and Asia. In the first decade of her career, she was focussed on customer experience in financial inclusion, working with a startup microfinance institution in India (now Jana Bank) and later with CGAP at the World Bank in Washington D.C. Through this work, she developed a deep understanding of low-income customers and expertise in designing solutions to serve their needs. In the following decade, she has worked across Africa and Asia in 3 startup organizations looking at how technology can enable the delivery of high quality education. She has built and managed large teams and come face to face with the challenges of scaling innovative design through these deep operational stints. Currently, Tanaya consults with global organizations on a variety of topics ranging from social enterprises to education, fintech and healthtech. Tanaya got her MBA from The Wharton School after an Honours degree in Economics from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and is currently based in London.
